Mont-Tremblant: A Paradise for Four-Season Paintball

Feb, 08 || No Comments |

Paintball is an action-packed activity that you can enjoy all year round. You may think that it is more of a summer sport, but you can still play it even during the coldest months of winter. If you are heading to Mont-Tremblant on a winter vacation, here’s what you need to know about paintballing in the snow.

Mont-Tremblant Paintball Centre

The place to enjoy some paintball fun in the winter in Mont-Tremblant is the Mont-Tremblant Paintball Centre. This is run by the Activity Centre, which arranges transport from the resort. If you stay in one of the many Tremblant rentals, it will only take you 25 minutes to arrive, making it a convenient option.

This paintball park has 15 playgrounds to choose from, including The Sniper, The Bus, The Village, the Wizard, and many more. It is open throughout the year so you can easily enjoy a winter game in the snow.

It welcomes players of all ability levels, so you can go along and have some fun even if you have never fired a paintball gun in your life. You can go with your family or in a larger group if you want, and you will find all the equipment is provided for you. The staff are all fully qualified, and there is also a restaurant so you can grab a bite to eat when you get a break.

Choose from a Game or Target Shooting

You have two options for how you want to spend your day: in a game or in target practice, both of which are available in the winter. If you choose a game, you will be given a safety talk and you will find out about the rules and how to use the equipment, then you will be taken to the play area where there are various game scenarios to choose from.

Target shooting is a great option if you want to improve your shooting skills, and it is especially suitable for groups with young kids. Anyone from the age of five and up can have a go at target shooting, so this could be a good option if you are taking young kids. The course has various difficulty levels with the targets getting progressively harder, and it is a challenging and fun way to spend a few hours.

Winter Paintball Tips

If you are planning on some winter adventure in Mont-Tremblant (you may even be considering doing some exploring in Parc National du Mont-Tremblant), paintballing should definitely be on the list. Winter can be a challenging time to go paintballing because the ground can be very slippery. Despite this, it is also a beautiful time of the year to get out into the outdoors and enjoy some paintball action.

The most important thing to remember is to dress warm. Wear some clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy, and make sure you wear suitable footwear to stop you slipping. Gloves, hats, and thick clothes will keep you warm and provide you with extra padding, and make sure you take along an extra set of clothes to change into when you leave.

If the weather is really cold, you can use non-freezing balls, which are provided by the center. These are used to avoid freezing on particularly cold days, because normal paintballs can become brittle and break in the guns.

You may also be able to use anti-fog masks. These can be particularly useful during cold weather, and they can improve safety because players are less likely to be tempted to take off their masks during a game.

Enjoy Paintballing Whenever You Stay in Mont-Tremblant

Paintballing is a fantastic activity that is suitable for all the family. If you are traveling with older kids and teenagers, you can battle against each other in a game, and if you are traveling with younger kids, you can still all enjoy some target practice. It’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon in Mont-Tremblant during your vacation, so start planning your trip and don’t let the cold put you off.
