Be As Prepared As Possible (And Find Ways To Save).

The first thing to do is choose your theme park. With so many options you really can’t go wrong. However it is important to determine which place you will spend your time. Look online for reviews, a full list of rides, prices, and so on. This will give you a better idea of what you have in store. Once you have done that? It is time to purchase your tickets. You never want to buy them at the gate. They tend to be a lot more expensive. To save money, always buy your theme park tickets in advance. This will keep more money in your wallet and give you a little peace of mind.

Read The Weather Forecast Before You Head Inside.

There is nothing worse. You step foot inside the theme park only to see the clouds roll in. So long, warm Florida weather! Though the weather is often sunny and hot – there are also rainy periods. Make sure you check the weather forecast before you head to the theme park. If it is calling for rain? Bring along a poncho or light rain jacket. Plastic bags are also a good idea. You can wrap your purse, backpack, or cell phone inside for instant water protection.

Find Out The Park Policy On Outside Food and Drinks.

Want to keep your costs down? It is possible. Especially if the theme park allows you to bring in your own food and drinks. This will keep you away from those overpriced meals and snacks found inside the park. Policies vary from place to place so always check ahead of time. If you are allowed to bring in food, load up a backpack with cold water, granola bars, and sandwiches. Then splurge on something for dinner. This method will give you the best of both worlds.

Other Important Tips and Tricks:

  • Take a picture of where you parked. Use your cell phone or digital camera to snap a quick picture of your parking area. This will come in handy at the end of the day when you completely forgot where you left your car!
  • Aim to get to the theme park early in the morning. There are thinner crowds during the first hour or two of operation. Head to the most popular rides first and get them check off of your list.
  • Do the park backwards. Typically theme parks are laid out for people to start in one specific direction and work through the area. Go the opposite way. This will help you avoid those super long line-ups and dense crowds.
